Brittany Edyburn, M.A. CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Brittany is a speech-language pathologist who was born and raised in Southern California. She attended University of California, Santa Barbara to earn her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Psychology and later received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at San Diego State University. Brittany decided to be closer to her family and relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina.
Brittany is passionate about traveling and she wishes to continue to learn about the diversity of different cultures. In her work she hopes to bring the power of connecting to the world with communication to individuals that have difficulty doing so for a variety of reasons. Her desire to help many children find their voices led her to open her practice, Junebug Speech and Language Therapy, PLLC.
She enjoys working in a variety of settings with a variety of age groups; however, her passion is working with pediatrics with a specialty in speech sound disorders (articulation, phonology, apraxia). She has extensive experience with several disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, developmental delay, intellectual disability, receptive/expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, stuttering, and more. She also has learned and gained experience in behavioral strategies as well as sensory strategies for children with those needs. She believes working with families and supporting the child’s environment is the key to success in addressing communication needs of young children. She applies Neurodiversity affirming practices with her clients and her team. Brittany is continuously keeping current with research and never stops learning!
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, doing mixed media art, spending time at the beach, and going to yoga
Ashlie Tilley
Billing and Referral Coordinator
Ashlie grew up in the small town of Pleasant Garden, NC. After attending Liberty University she came home and began her career in medical billing. With a strong background in private practice billing for speech and occupational therapy, as well as outpatient surgery she is passionate about helping families navigate the often-confusing world of insurance benefits. She prides herself on making the billing process easier to understand and less stressful for the people she serves.
Taylor Dawsey, M.S. CCC-SLP
Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
Taylor grew up in Greenville, South Carolina and moved to Raleigh after she received her dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish from Coastal Carolina University in 2019. She received her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from North Carolina Central University in 2022. Prior to receiving her Master’s degree she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician and developed a huge love for learning about behavior analysis as well as working with children diagnosed with Autism. Taylor is a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech language pathology (SLP) in the state of North Carolina. She takes pride in being a Bilingual SLP and is proud to be able to also provide services to Spanish speaking clients. Taylor’s clinical experience includes treating and evaluating individuals with phonological disorders, articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, apraxia, social pragmatic communication disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has a special place in her heart for treating articulation/phonological disorders and is always coming up with creative therapy activities to make therapy fun and engaging! She also enjoys working with the early intervention population and one of her favorite memories is when she heard a client say their very first word. She knows that family involvement is very important and likes to involve the family in sessions and provide in home techniques to help the progress and generalization of skills. Her favorite mantra is “poco a poco” or “little by little” because she believes that the small successes are just as important as the milestones. Outside of work, she loves traveling, college football, being outside with her dog, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Marianna Rodriguez, M.S. CCC-SLP
Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
Marianna is a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) speech-language pathologist. She attended East Carolina University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies in 2019. She later earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from North Carolina Central University in 2022. Marianna is licensed to practice Speech Language Pathology (SLP) in the state of North Carolina and is a certified member of American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She has prior experience evaluating and treating children with a wide variety of needs including articulation disorders, phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, social pragmatic disorders, and autism disorder. She also has experienced a variety of settings including in-homes, daycares, schools, and private practice clinics. She loves using a play-based approach to allow the child to find comfort during sessions and build rapport. She enjoys working with the early intervention population and her goal for all clients and their families is to be part of their journey in developing and growing the necessary speech and language skills to grow and succeed in life. Coming from a hispanic family/ background, she truly finds passion in working with those in the Spanish-speaking community to help bridge the gap. She is excited to get to know your little one and build a relationship with your family! In her personal life, she loves traveling, going to the beach, binge watching netflix shows, learning new things, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and loved ones.
Olivia Vernot, M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Olivia was born in eastern Pennsylvania, but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. She moved to Raleigh to attend NC State University where she completed her undergraduate program in Elementary Education. She taught for 2 years before starting and finishing her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology in Durham, NC. Olivia has always wanted to work with kids and the field of speech therapy has allowed her to make that dream a reality. So far, she has gotten experience with early intervention, articulation, fluency, and AAC. Olivia has worked with individuals with genetic disorders, neurological disorders, and Autism. She believes that one of the best parts of her job is providing support not only to her patients, but for their families. She believes that early intervention leads to great success in communication for all children and their caregivers. Outside of work, Olivia enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, playing games with family and friends, and watching new shows.
Jacqueline Lawler, M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Jacqueline was born and raised in Illinois. She attended The University of Iowa where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Certificate in American Sign Language. She then attended Saint Xavier University where she received a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Jacqueline is a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech language pathology (SLP) in the State of North Carolina. She has over a decade of experience working as a speech-language pathologist in clinics, schools, and therapeutic summer camps. Her background includes evaluating and treating children with a wide variety of needs including receptive and expressive language disorders, social pragmatic language disorders, articulation disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is passionate about using a strengths-based approach to therapy to support functional communication for clients. Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoys hiking, snowboarding, yoga, reading, and traveling.
Hannah Heacock, M.S. CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Hannah was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and is excited to begin her career in Raleigh, North Carolina. She completed both her bachelor’s degree in business economics and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Louisville. Drawn to the field by a passion for helping people find their voice and communicate with the world, Hannah has gained clinical experience across a variety of settings including acute care hospitals, schools, rehabilitation facilities, and clinics. She has worked with pediatric clients on articulation, AAC, and autism spectrum disorders. Hannah values a play-based approach to therapy and believes in collaboration with families and other professionals to maximize client progress. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, crocheting, and hanging out with friends.
Ellie McCreary, M.S. CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Ellie was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. After she graduated, Ellie spent one year as a Therapy Support Staff for Gillette Children’s in St. Paul, MN before returning to school to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ellie has clinical experience working with pediatric clients in a variety of settings, including homes, daycares, schools, and clinics. Her experience includes working with children with a variety of disorders and diagnoses, including speech sound disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, social communication, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), fluency disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Down Syndrome. Ellie recognizes that each client has a unique background and set of strengths and interests, and uses this information to provide play-based, individualized therapy that focuses on the whole-child and is neurodiversity-affirming. In addition, she loves connecting with families and caregivers through coaching and counseling and understands that they play an integral role in the success of their children. Outside of work, Ellie likes biking and walking, baking, watching shows, playing games, and spending time with family and friends.
